Happy New Year! (saying that before it gets REALLY old, VERY soon). Ahh, there’s just something about the promise of a fresh start that get us excited. If one of your new year’s intentions is to get outside more and spend more quality time with your pup(s), we’re right there with you! We’re hoping this year’s monthly event calendars will help you do just that.
Starting this month, you’ll notice we added a new symbol to our little calendar key- ❤️Dog Lovers. We’ve started to come across events that are targeted to dog lovers, but aren’t dog-friendly. Check out the few we have listed below and you’ll get the idea.

⭐️❤️ 1/10 & 12- Thursday & Saturday- “Muttnik” @ The Orlando Fringe Winter Mini-Fest (7:15pm & 5pm)
“Sit. Lie down. Roll over.” In November of 1957, Soviet scientists sent the first living thing into space – a stray dog. MUTTNIK is a “one dog play” that draws from historical events to create a story of purpose, life, and death told from the perspective of a Russian pup. Written and performed by Bruce Ryan Costella, MUTTNIK returns to the Fringe for two encore performances. See link above for tickets. (13 & Up- Strong Language)
🐶1/14- Monday- College Park Yappy Hour (5-8pm)
K Restaurant & Woof! Orlando team up to host this monthly yappy hour. Grab a seat on the porch and enjoy the live music along with dog themed food and drinks.
🐶1/17- Thursday– Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser (5-7pm)
Orlando Brewing and AGold Photography have teamed up again to deliver this fundraiser benefitting The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. Slots should be booked in advance and fill up quickly, so click the link above to snag a spot for your pup.
❤️1/19- Saturday– Bloomingdale’s Pop-up Adoption & Shopping Fundraiser (11am-2pm)
If you need to rationalize your next purchase, if you stop by the Bloomingdale’s at Millenia on January 19th and mention the Pet Alliance at checkout, 10% of your purchase will be donated to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando! There will also be adoptable dogs onsite, so swing by and say hello!
🐶1/20- Sunday- VMX 5K Fund(d) Run/Walk (6:30am-9am)
Grab your favorite four-legged running/walking partner and join in for the Veterinary Meeting & Expo annual 5K Fun(d) Run, supporting the WSAVA Foundation! No pet or can’t bring your favorite fur baby? No problem! Share the love and run with a rescued shelter dog from Pet Rescue by Judy.
🐶1/20- Sunday- Yappy Hour w/ Pet Rescue by Judy (1-4pm)
Hosted by the Lucky Lure, this monthly event is Yappy Hour is intended to bring dogs and dog lovers together to socialize, bond and form new bonds through dog adoption. It’s a great day to bond with your dog, and meet other pups too! Visit the guys from Rick’s Dog Deli on the patio, grab some free samples, and don’t forget to check out the special yappy hour menu.
Bring item donations for the Rescue during this event for a complimentary shot or cocktail. Donated items should be left with the rescue’s team outside on the patio where you’ll receive a ticket for your freebie good for that day only.
❤️1/24- Thursday– Barks & Crafts Wine Night (6:30pm-8:30pm)
Join the folks at Eola Pets in Downtown Orlando for a fun night of crafting! Bring a few old t-shirts and they’ll help you to transform them into a fun, new toy for your dog! Wine and new friends included! (Don’t have a dog? That’s ok! Make a toy for your friend’s dog or donate to a pup in need.) Click the link above to secure your $10 ticket.
❤️1/27- Sunday– Paint Your Pet Orlando Fundraiser (2-5pm)
Join Painting with a Twist for a Paint your Pet fundraising painting class benefitting Florida English Bulldog Rescue. Class will take place at the Orlando-Universal Studios location. Seats are limited so invite your friends and family to this fun event and come paint your dog, cat, bird, or any other favorite pet!
❤️1/27- Sunday– Poses for Pups- A Rescue Yoga Event (2-3:30pm)

Join Peaceful Peacock Yoga and discover the true meaning of downward dog as you practice surrounded by ADOPTABLE dogs from Pet Rescue By Judy. Adorable canine yogis will be allowed to ROAM FREELY and interact with you during this 60-Minute Hatha Yoga class, suitable for all levels, lead by Lizzie Fredrick. Made possible in partnership with Diversity K9 dog training, who will be working the room, please come prepared for sniffs, licks, kisses, and cuddles.
After your class, please feel free to spend time with the dogs, take pictures, relax, socialize, and get adoption information if you meet your furry soul-mate. They will also be selling WeLa Nutraceuticals CBD Oil Pet Treats if you’d like to purchase some to take home to your own dog.
