We’ll be honest- with fall festivals, Oktoberfest celebrations, and Halloween, October is easily one of our favorite months.  This month is packed with options that are both dog-focused and dog-friendly, so you’re sure to find something both you and your pup will love.

🐶10/5-11- “Pick of the Litter” film screening at the Enzian (times/dates vary)
Ok, so you can’t bring your pups to this, but considering we’re all dog lovers here, this seemed like an event to highlight regardless! Pick of the Litter follows a litter of puppies from the moment they’re born and begin their quest to become guide dogs for the blind. 🐾 10/6- SaturdayNight Market at Audubon (5-10pm)
Come party under the stars in Audubon Park. Live music, two beer gardens, fortune tellers, and local and regionally made crafts, art, and photography. We hear that Lavender Menace will be there selling their personalized dog bandanas!

🐶 10/7- Sunday- Downward dog w/your dog @ Rocky’s Retreat (8:30am-10am)
Do you ever feel guilty for leaving your pup at home on the weekend when you’re out running around or practicing some self care? Join Rocky’s Retreat and Roots 2 Wellness for Downward dog with your dog! Bring your pup with you for some play time while you take care of your body, mind & spirit. Advanced registration required.

🐶 10/7- SundayBlessing of the Animals Outdoor Worship & Potluck (10:30am – 11:30am)
Audubon Park Covenant Church invites you to join us in this very special service celebrating and blessing our dear animal companions. All well-behaved, leashed or caged pets (or pictures of pets) are welcome to attend! There is a potluck lunch immediately following the service- bring a dish to share if you can.
(Please note: Dogs will not be the only animals attending)

🐶 10/8- Monday- College Park Yappy Hour (5-8pm)
K Restaurant & Woof! Orlando team up to host this monthly yappy hour. Grab a seat on the porch and enjoy the live music along with dog themed food and drinks.

⭐️🐶 10/13- Saturday- Barktoberfest (12pm-2pm)
Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital is hosting their annual Barktoberfest gathering. Join them for fun, food and a pet costume contest. This event is open to the entire community and will feature activities for the whole family. Face painting, caricature artist, games, prizes and a Kona ice truck!

⭐️🐾 10/13- Saturday-Come Out With Pride Festival (12pm-9pm)
This festival and parade around Lake Eola Park is one of Orlando’s biggest (and most fun!).  This pup friendly event will be full of live entertainment, vendors, and there’s even a “Pet Zone” sponsored by Banfield Hospital!  The festival does close the evening with fireworks, so just something to keep in mind for any skittish/fearful pups.

🐶 10/13- Saturday- Tito’s Yappy Hour – Fundraiser & Dog Adoption (5-7pm)
Join the good folks at Barley & Vine for a yappy hour fundraiser in support of Pet Rescue by Judy.  There will be dogs onsite for adoption and any successful adoption will include a complimentary pet grooming at Just 4 Dogs Universal Blvd. With the purchase of any Tito’s cocktail during event receive a ticket for a chance to win a “Vodka for Dog People Bark Box” full of goodies!
(Please note: For the safety of the adoptable dogs please leave your pets at home for this event)

⭐️🐶 10/14- Sunday- Doggie Paddle & Brunch (9:30am-11am)
Lake Life Paddles is hosting this meet-up for the pups and the people who love them! Learn how to make your dog feel comfortable on the water, safety with your dog, how to get them on board if they fall off. Lake Jennie Jewell is a very calm and safe lake to try out SUP or kayaking with your best friend. The Waterfront is a dog friendly restaurant, so stay and enjoy a delicious brunch afterward! ⭐️🐶 10/14- Sunday- Bark-Tober-Fest (11am-4pm)
Toll Road Brewing Company in Ocoee has partnered with Zip Dog Fun Run, who is setting up a small breed lure course. Lure course run will be $10 per run, with a portion of proceeds going to local pet rescue D.A.R.E. Dachshund Adoption and Rescue. All dogs welcome, but Lure Course is for small breed dogs only due to limited space.

🐶 10/18- Thursday-Pet Photo Shoot Fundraiser (6-9pm)
Orlando Brewing and AGold Photography have teamed up again to deliver this fundraiser benefitting The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. Slots should be booked in advance and fill up quickly, so click the link above to snag a spot for your pup.

🐾 10/19-21 Friday – Sunday4th Annual Crooked Can Oktoberfest (times vary by day)
Head to Winter Garden for 3 days of live German music, authentic food, and tons of family fun.  Pups are welcome in the beer garden!

⭐️🐶 10/20- Saturday- The Social: For the Love of Paws (9am-1pm)
Central Florida Monthly is teaming up with Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida and Lake Nona for a pet event like no other. The event is free to attend but they will be selling raffle tickets to benefit the pups of Poodle and Pooch Rescue. There will be food trucks, frozen treats, and a bounce house (for your non-furry kids)! There will also be a pup costume contest!  Poodle and Pooch will also have puppies available for adoption.

🐶 10/20- Saturday – Pups on the Patio- Halloween Edition! (1-4pm)
Bring your pup to enjoy a laid-back Saturday on the Aloft Hotel patio. There will be dog-themed cocktails, local food vendors, goodie bags, giveaways and pools for your pup to enjoy. There will also be a doggy costume contest, and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando will be there with adoptable dogs looking for a loving home.

⭐️🐶 10/20- Saturday- Howl-o-Ween at Woofgang Bakery & Grooming (3-5pm)
Woof Gang Downtown Winter Park and Woof Gang Winter Park are collaborating to create a Howl-O-Ween Costume Party! It is a FREE event that will take place at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Winter Park. It will include trick or treating for your pets, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize winners, plus extra goodies to enjoy at home! Pets and pet owners are encouraged to dress up!

🐾 10/20- Saturday – 5th Annual Windermere Craft Beer Fest (4-8pm)
Held in beautiful Downtown Windermere, this annual event benefits the Windermere Police Department Foundation, Inc. and the Florida Brewers Guild. The event is 100% not for profit and will feature tastings of several local craft beer brews, an awesome atmosphere, food vendors and live music. Well behaved and leashed dogs are welcome!

🐶 10/21- Sunday- Yappy Hour w/ Pet Rescue by Judy(1-4pm)
Hosted by the Lucky Lure, this monthly event is Yappy Hour is intended to bring dogs and dog lovers together to socialize, bond and form new bonds through dog adoption. This month, bring your furry friend(s) in their Halloween costume and you’ll both be rewarded. 🐶 10/21- Sunday – The 2nd Annual Oktoberfest Dachshund Races (3:30pm-5:30pm)
Join us Sunday, October 21 for our annual Oktoberfest Weiner Races starting at 3:30 PM. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest Wiener Dog. Entry tickets are $10/Weiner. Register your Doxie through Saturday, Oct. 20th til 11:30PM. Registrations will be accepted on day of the event starting at 2:00 PM. Proceeds to benefit A Cause 4 Paws Rescue.

🐶 10/27- Saturday- Franklin’s Friends Howl-o-ween Dog WalkaThon and Canine Costume Contest (9am-12pm)
Now in it’s 5th year, this event at Secret Lake Park in Casselberry is a must attend. They will have a dog walk, canine costume contest, pet-friendly vendors, music and much more! All proceeds will benefit Franklin’s Friends. Over 500 animal lovers are expected to come out and enjoy a morning of fun for the whole family. Last year’s event raised over $58,000 for local animal welfare. Registration information in the event link above.

🐾 10/27- Saturday- Central Florida Veg Fest (10am-6pm)
This event will include healthy living and eco-friendly exhibitors, speakers, and presentations; non-profits; fun and games for kids; dog and cat adoptions; restaurant booths; food preparation demonstrations, and live music and entertainment. Central Florida Veg Fest will draw both committed vegetarians and those who want to learn more about how to protect our health, the planet, and its inhabitants. 🐶 10/27- Saturday- Howl-o-Woof @ The Mennello Museum Sculpture Garden (4:30pm-6pm)
The second-annual Howl O’ Woof presented by Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa is a family-friendly event, and the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with your best friend. Dress for the occasion (both you and your pet!) and trick-or-treat at the sculptures in our lakeside sculpture garden. The best-dressed pups can enter for a chance to win some fabulous prizes in our Costume Contest. Dog treats will be provided by local pet businesses and we’ll have complimentary pup cups from Jeremiah’s Italian Ice! More info and tickets in the link above!

🐶 10/28- Sunday- Rocky’s Retreat 1 Year Anniversary Celebration &  Dog Expo Market (11am-3pm)
Join Rocky’s Retreat as they celebrate the 1 year anniversary under new ownership. They will have photo sessions, demonstrations, a ton of local pet vendors, and a Halloween costume contest.  See the event link above for the full details!

🐶 10/28- Sunday- 4th Annual HOWL-o-Ween Pet Costume Contest & Parade (11am-2pm)
It’s Back! The 4TH Annual HOWL-o-WEEN Pet Costume Contest and Parade to benefit A Cause 4 Paws Rescue. Start brainstorming those Pet Costume now because there will be Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. This event kicks off at 11AM with on-site registration, raffles and great prizes. No Pet? No Problem.  Enjoy a Freedom Ride Stout and watch these 4-legged friends work the parade route in their Halloween Best. Parade Time: 1PM
