As a Central Florida dog owner, the future has never looked brighter for beverages with your buddy. If you’re still reeling with excitement about January’s announcement of Orlando’s first dog park with a bar, (and you should be), you now have another reason to celebrate. Local favorite Cups and Pups Coffee announced today their plans to open an off-leash dog park and coffee shop combo.

Launching their mobile coffee cart business last spring, owners Matt and April Guldi quickly gained a loyal following of local fans, both for their delicious coffee and their pup focused/friendly vibe. The couple plans to transform the space where their coffee pop-up currently resides (Hwy 441 in Lockhart, just North of College Park), into a mixed-use space with open-air seating and 8000 sq ft of off-leash dog park fun. There will also be a separate dog park for pups under 30 pounds. Anchoring the space will be a 1959 Airstream that will serve as the walk-up coffee window. The couple has been working hard to renovate it and documenting their progress on their Instagram handle.

Matt and April’s vision is really all about community- bringing people together with quality craft coffee and pups. So it’s pretty fitting that part of this project is being funded by the community– us! While the property, building, and airstream are already in their possession, there are still a good deal of renovations needed. To help solve for those costs, the couple has launched an Indiegogo Fundraising Page where you can contribute to the project. With Day 1 of the campaign at 7% to goal, Matt and April are already feeling the love.

We’ll be sharing more as Cups and Pups Coffee continues towards their goal, but in the meantime make sure you’re following them on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates. And dogs aside, if you haven’t tried one of their coffee concoctions, you are truly missing out.
